Hi all,
I just want to make sure I do my backups right and avoid any future issues.
the situation is this one: My motherboard has 6 sata ports, one of them is not working anymore. I replaced the mobo already with a similar one -> same issue and it seems the entire series of mobo's have this issue. Once I replaced the old mobo with a new one from the same model everything worked perfectly (FreeNAS booted like nothing was changed ) The only option I have is to replace the mobo with a different model from a different manufacturer. I assume freeNAS will not boot anymore because there are other drivers and setups.
I have 3 pools
- freenas_boot - 2x USB in raid
- jails - M2 Sata
- Storage_zpool - 6x SATA disks
Can I avoid reinstalling Freenas?
Thank you
