Mirrored pool not showing size increase

Hi, I started this in the freenas legacy forum as I was running 11.3-u5 at the time, but decided to upgrade to 12.0-u8 before proceeding. I had 3 single disk pools and wanted to change 1 to a mirror with 2 larger disks. I received a reply (You can add a 4TB to a 2TB as a mirror, resilver and then replace the old 2TB with another 4TB and resilver again. At this point the pool should extend automatically to 4TB) which is what I did, but it didn't extend, still only shows 2TB of space. If I go to Pools, NAS1, click cog wheel,Status it shows a mirrored pool of my 2 4TB drives. Is it now as simple as going to Pools, NAS1, click cog wheel, expand pool, then in box that says expand pool to fit all available disk space click expand? Or is this the wrong rabbit hole to go down?

Ok, I'm all set on this. Read some more posts and saw that auto expand was off, so turned it on restarted system and now shows 4TB of disk space.
