SOLVED Migration to new hardware

Hello everybody,

I'm not 100% sure if i'm in the right sub topic, so if i'm wrong please correct me

In the near future I want to upgrade my whole FreeNAS system (new pool with more drives, new CPU, etc.) and want to migrate my old settings to the new systems.

The biggest questions I have for now are how can I migrate my configuration settings and Plex metadata to the new system without having to type in everything again.

Hope you can give me an advice in that.

Your configuration is not hard to save and upload again when needed. It can be done with the GUI. It's all in the FreeNAS user guide (left menu in the GUI). Do your self a big favour and spend some time reading it. It has a purpose and is very usefull. In your case paragraph 5 might be interesting.
