So I upgraded to Coral and I'm loving it, but my old Dell server that I'm running Freenas on doesn't have the virtualization requirements for Docker, so I've picked up a used R510 to migrate everything to. It has the same number of bays, and I'll be using the same M1015 I was using in the old server.

However, my question is this: Do I need to worry about the drives' physical order when migrating the disks to the new server? Or does Freenas pick up the information regardless of that, similar to how most hardware RAID can?

I literally cannot think of a single RAID-like solution that cares the least bit about where a drive is attached (within reason, obviously). This is not an issue with FreeNAS/ZFS and it's not an issue with fakeRAID, hardware RAID from reputable manufacturers or anything else. Maybe with those crap RAID chips in el-cheapo disk enclosures, but the less we talk about those, the better.
