So I have been happily using a 9.2.1.9 DIY server for many years, but I've finally run low on space and to consolidate I've bought a new Mini X+. I'm trying to formulate a plan to move my data from the old to new server when it arrives, and am looking for additional advice.
Currently my thought is to create a new pool on the new hardware, zfs send/recv from the old->new and manually recreate the shares. If there is a better way to export/import the current config to the new server that is great, but since it has been 6+ years, I don't count on it and expect a manual configuration.
Anyone else done something like this?
