Method 'get_pci_ids_for_gpu_isolation' not found in 'device'

Hi, I've often read that many people still can't use their VMs with a GPU.
Have you ever tried my method?

I’ve tried your method (thanks for the work and write up!) but sadly no luck. Specifically, I can’t add a GPU, change core/thread counts, change memory, etc. on an existing VM (like many have mentioned here).

I just upgraded to 23.10.1.3, and it still doesn’t appear to be fixed. It’s not mentioned in the 23.10.1.3 change log or list of known issues on the TrueNas documentation hub.

If anyone else was wondering if the issue was being tracked like me, I posted NAS-126974 after checking and not seeing the issue already in the tickets log.

When trying your method and selecting the PCI device I get the following error: "Not a valid choice. The PCI device is not available for passthru: Unable to determine iommu group"

When trying any of the other devices I get the same error. Any ideas?


EDIT:
worked out this is an issue with the BIOS settings. Only software virtualisation was enabled, not support for I/O and discreet devices /facepalm/

Unfortunately it is not working for me. I doubt it is a bios misconfiguration for me, as it is working in the older version. But thank you for providing it.

Also when I go to devices and try and do PCI pass through, the VM won't start back up.
