Media + Plex with one SSD only?

Is it possible and a good idea to have two datasets in one volume called Media and Plex on one SSD? The dataset called Media would be a share and it'll store any playable media, then I'd have another dataset called Plex which would be used for the jail and the plugin. I don't care about redundancy for this.

No reason why it wouldn't except you'd be missing out on all that ZFS and FreeNAS have to offer. But if that's how you want to set it up it's your server and you can set it up whatever way works best for you.

Why would you want to waste the performance of an expensive SSD for bulk media storage? But yes, it should work just fine.
