Make afdp.conf changes permanent

Hi,

I tried to add some parameters in afdp.conf under /conf/base/etc/local/ using mount -uw / but when I restart the service the default configuration gets loaded. What am I doing wrong?

Read the FAQ. The boot drive is read only. You have to run some commands to make it writable.

Such as:

/etc/afpd.conf is likely generated on service start, but I'm not familiar with it.

OK, I found the solution:
1. mount -uw /
2. add the parameters wanted by editing /conf/etc/rc.d/ix-afpd.conf
3. mount -ur /

That wont work, that file is generated from the database, as paleoN said.

Some from the sqlite and some in the script, tested it and worked fine after several service restarts and reboots.

Sorry, I thought that command wasn't making it writable. I use a different command normally. Not sure why I thought that, but at least you have your answer.
