Mac + CIFS = Some files copy, others are sent to recycle

I am running 9.2.1.7 and noticed a bit of troubling behavior today when using CIFS via a Mac. When trying to copy files en masse, I am noticing that about half of the files copy and the remaining appear to, but are immediately dumped in the .recycle folder. Ex. I just attempted to copy 32 files and the latter 16 of the sequence copied, but the preceding 16 can only be found in the recycle folder.

Anyone else run into this? I was going to file a bug, but I'm unable to login with my bug tracker acct (even after resetting PW).

Here's an example of some of the log messages I'm catching off the FreeNAS console:
