LSI 9210-8i or 9220-8i

I currently have an LSI 9210-8i in my server that was installed when I bought it. I had previously bought a 9220-8i when I was starting my build before I decided to buy my used Supermicro (details in signature).

Two questions:

1. Is there any benefit replacing the 9210-8i with the 9220-8i?
2. Is it simply swap out the 9210 and replace it with the 9220?

Brief search seems to think they are the same chipset, card version is firmware based.

So either one would be fine if you flash it to IT mode.
