lm-sensors ignoring sensor?

So I know with lm-sensors you can create ignores using the conf file and I see there is an /etc/sensors.d directory which is perfect for customization. My question is does this directory and its contents persist after reboot and upgrades? If not how do I properly exclude a single sensor on a specific chip? I've got it working with the sensors.d directory and a simple config file but need to know about persistence or best method.

Thanks!

Based on the way that core works, I would expect it might be overwritten during a version change of the system, but you're probably going to need to switch to nightlies or wait for 21.10 to check that.

You can check (but I'm expecting success already) to see if a reboot can be survived.

If it turns out that it's not persisting, you can create a feature request in Jira (I'll upvote it if you post back the number here).
