Jails root? On HD or USB

Hello I am new and just got FreeNAS up and running...

I have read through server things online and was under the impression that Jails should be installed on the USB? Is this correct. Currently my Crashplan jail is on my HD/Storage and just want to make sure everything will be fine. Or if i need to stop and fix this before i get to far.

Where did you see that? Jails are typically on data pool.

I read an article a LONG time ago. It said to install the jail on a USB. The jail was unbearably slow. Moral: Don't follow articles.

Yeah it was an article somewhere before I started with FreeNAS, don't remember where, sorry. Good to know. Thanks.
