iSCSI not found from anywhere

So I'm doing some testing with FreeNAS. Built a VM in ESX6.5 that had 1 8GB drive for FreeNAS and then 4 small drives for a Storage Volume. Installed FreeNAS 11 and configured everything. Created a raidz2 out of the 4 drives. Created a zvol. Setup all the share info (portal, initiator, target, extent, target/extent). Turned on the iSCSI service. No matter what device I try to point at the server for iSCSI I am not getting a response. I've tried VMWare and windows and neither of them see the iSCSI at all. I've searched forums and google and can't find anything I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Just trying to get familiar with FreeNAS.

Anything in /var/log/messages on the FreeNAS side or in the logs on the system running the initiator?
