Installing from usb drive?

I found some info already but using DD to transfer the IMG I get "resource busy" on my Macbook.

Also through disk utlity I get "unknown argument"

Anyone did this before? (I dont have a CD drive in my server).

Be sure you're using the .xz file and not the .iso. This is the link for 8.3.0p1, if you need the 64 bit version: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fre.../FreeNAS-8.3.0-RELEASE-p1-x64.img.xz/download

I got it to work using the .xz file! thank-you. (i used to .img and .iso).

Yeah, the documentation can be improved to clarify that. It's on my list of things to do when I have a moment.
