Ok, so after successfully creating a couple of ubuntu VMs (to run Onlyoffice and Crashplan) I thought I'd try and set-up a FreeNAS one, which is one of the other things I use VirtualBox for.
It's only to test and play with the new functionality, but I've fallen at the first hurdle! The VM appears to start but I can't connect to the console which doesn't show any messages. I was using iohyve set f-server ram=4g cpu=1 os=freebsd loader=grub-bhyve
Any ideas? Thanks
Update: I was looking at this again today and started the console before trying to install and got a little more information
Is this because I'm trying to create a FreeNAS 11.1 VM on a FreeNAS system running 9.10.1?

Code:
FreeBSD/amd64 User boot, Revision 1.1 (root@gauntlet, Wed Nov 9 00:15:24 UTC 2016) - can't load 'kernel' Type '?' for a list of commands, 'help' for more detailed help.
