Instalar FreeNAS en IBM DS4800

Buenos días a todos.

Necesito operar una IBM DS4800 con capacidad 35 TB, instalados en 1 control enclosure y 6 expansion enclosure.

Es posible instalar FreeNas en este dispositivo?

¿Encontraste una respuesta? Según se puede leer en algunos mensajes antiguos específicos de FreeBSD, dudo que FreeNAS funcione bien sin tener problemas.

De funcionar sip, claro que si, pero no es lo indicado emplear una Almacenamiento SAN con funciones de NAS.

Hi All,

I know this is an old post but did anyone get FreeNAS talking to the IBM DS 4800? I would like to use the disks as the controllers do a very good job at talking to the shelves that are FCAL. FreeNAS does not do such a good job. I was able top get FreeNAS to talk to the EXP710 shelves that run at 2GB. The EXP810 run at 4GB and I have not had success yet. On the IBM controller side do I lie and say FreeNAS is Solaris? Mac OS or Windows? There is no FreeBSD option there.
