I set it not to read or write to my hard disk, why is it still reading and writing?

My Storage settings do not allow reading or writing to my mounted hard disk. I enabled no data reading or writing and stopped the hard disk for 30 minutes. Why is it still writing occasionally? Will it cause my hard drive to boot frequently?

That does not prohibit reading or writing from any other pool. How did you get that idea?

Won't reading and writing be prohibited? I searched for the answer on Google. I want to realize that the hard disk automatically sleeps when it is not reading or writing, and then wakes up the hard disk when I need it.

Is this strictly a file server or are you running apps?

The system dataset will be written to every few minutes for logging etc.
I would not recommend enabling power saving features on it.
If you really want to then try disabling logging.

They have their system dataset on their boot pool, already. Which does not at all guarantee that no other process will write to the storage pool.

Well, my understanding is that they are enterprise-level NAS control systems. If I want to implement home functions, I may need to look for other systems. . . .

OK, thank you. Will the log file scan all hard drives?

You did nit answer my question. Do you run anything else but file sharing? Apps? VMs?

I didn't do any other configuration, I just used it as my nas storage. On another computer, I installed the emby installed by docker and mounted the truenas hard disk through cifs-utils.
