Freenas - why is it faster to write to my NAS than to read from it?

Hey there , again

I ran a sped test today and I tried moving actual files but the conclusion is always the same:

Writing to the NAS is faster than Reading from it

If I write to the NAS, I get 60 - 75 MByte/s
Reading from it, I max out at 10/MByte/s


What could be causing this and how can I fix this?

This post might be useful to find where is your bottleneck.
Maybe your local disk cannot handle more than 10MB/sec? See below the speeds I get.

i tried that already, I have an ssd in my pc , which should have good writing speeds but to no avail.
The transfer rate reading from the NAS goes to a max of 12MByte/s ... which would be the most in 100MBit Lan.
But that doesn't make sense because I can write to the NAS with 80ish MByte / s...

what are your hardware specs? what version of FN8.0.X? x86 or x64?
