Hi,
Yesterday I changed the root password to log in my FreeNas.
I am able to log in and all.
On another computer, I connect with FileZilla in sftp to transfer a file.
It wasn't working because the "history" remember the old password so I input the new on and now I am able to connect and browse the folders but when I try a file copy to local it gives the error "Authentication failed."

Seems like when starting the transfer, it would maybe use the old password again.
Anyone have inputs?

Root account is for administration.
For file transfer, you should create at least one user account.

Good idea: I will create one.
But why would root get denied when transfering?
we see in the printscreen that it is able to login, browse the folders but as soon as a do a drag and drop in filezilla: seems like freenas ask for username and password and filezilla provide one that do not work

Because it's reserved for administration, not file transfers.
Like I said: it WAS working before the password change so it cannot be related to the fact "that it is reserved for administration".
Tomorrow I will put back the old password for it and the transfer WILL work

I changed the root password to what it was initially and now the filezilla transfer is working !
It is like: Filezilla uses the new password to connect to the freenas but when downloading, it is beeing ask for a psw again but gives the wrong one...
