HW Gigabyte GA-B150N-GSM MB support IBM m1115 card?

Hi all,

I am building a new FreeNAS with 8 bays. I got a mother board GA-B150N-GSM from Gigabyte which only have 6 SATA port.
I have checked forum and I would like to get a IBM m1115 card to cross flash to IT mode.
From OS side, FreeNAS supports it. So the last question is if my mother board can support this card or not.
In my mother board, there is a PCIe 16x slot. Does it good enough for m1115?

I would say so. Th m1115 is based on the LSI SAS2008 SAS controller chipset and support PCI-E 2.0 specifications with x8 lanes
