Hi
I jumped into freenas head first with a HP microserver with 6 WDRED 3TB drives (drives 5 and 6 sit in thee 3.5 drive bay on top, one routed to the E-Stata port and 1 to the additional internal SATA port). I have not updated the BIOS.
Im finding that the drive on the internal SATA port regurly shows as OFFLINE and I can see some errors on the console. Rebooting does not fix the problem and all drives can be seen at bios level. If I disconnect and reconnect the SATA cable to the drive, all seems file for a few days before the cycle starts again.
Um using a 6 disk RAIDZ2 pool
Is there anyway to determine if I have a duff drive ? / Am I expecting to much to have a 6 drive config in the microserver
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks
