I have installed freenas 8.0 beta3 , and i'm looking for a couple of guides :
Setup win7 prof 32bit with freenas and network share ( i can't see my freenas at the moment in network enviorment with my setup right now. )
Setup PBI jail > i tried http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Plugins > but Jail IP : I don't understand , why do i have to setup a IP address ?? A second one?? I already tried an alias from my first one but that doesn't work. I tried an other IP address in other range : that worked
But when i install my plugin then , it can't be start because it doesn't find the ip address.. Sounds logical.
I like freenas so far , i watched some movies on my popbox v8 trough adding a networkshare > that can see my netbios name : workgroup but my windows7 can't. Also connecting trough windows explorer , run \\server01\data , trough cmd etc doesn't work. Ping and http://192.168.1.8 work from my win7 machine. When i connect trough the browser like this : ftp://192.168.1.8 : I can see my files but then windows informs that i have to connect trough windows explorer to modify things : i try > nothing happening. Windows can't find the share.. Connecting trough filezilla = no problems. These are small things that i find weird and i'm doing something wrong.
Any help is appriciated. I'm IT'r myself so TCP/IP is not unknown.
