How to install Prometheus on TrueNAS CORE

Hello everyone,

I'm new using TrueNAS Core and I'm doing a TrueNAS monitoring project for my university.
I want to use Prometheus and Grafana for this, I have Grafana installed but I don't know how to install Prometheus to collect those metrics.
Since Grafana has an easy installation from plugins option, I can't find a way to install Prometheus.
How would you recommend installing it?

Create a standard jail, then inside that jail pkg install prometheus2.

Mind you that TrueNAS CORE comes with collectd integrated, so you can point the builtin reporting at an InfluxDB time series database and use Grafana for display. I honestly don't know if Prometheus would offer any more features than that combination.
