How to delay catalog sync until the internet is up

Hi there. I run an OpenWrt VM in TrueNAS such that it serves as the main router of network. Since the catalog sync happens before the VM is up, no internet access is available at that time and the sync always fails. Is there a way to ask the sync to start after internet becomes available or simply delay it by a fixed amount of time?

I would love to do this too! My pihole runs on truenas on a VM (no I dont use the apps for several reasons) and it needs to be up and running before andything can call out.
