I have a Freenas 8.0.2 installed on a USB drive and discs with a capacity of 24TB. The unit was placed in operation and from two external servers will send 40Mbps of information (are security cameras), the whole system works properly, no errors in system alerts and hardware running less than 20% of demand according to the meters FreeNAS, and suddenly after a few hours, it digs, is labeled, ping unresponsive or web interface. I turn it off completely esper 10 seconds, switch it on and it works like nothing. I'm suspicious of the USB drive. that you recommend?

RESOLVED. RAM USING RATIO 1 out of 4 REGARDING ALL OF STORAGE. EXAMPLE ON DISC USING 24TB 6GB of RAM or more.

Good morning, I updated to 8.3 a week ago and still branded NAS. unanswered freezes or ping, has to proceed to brutal and manual off. works less than 24 hours and repeat.

Have you checked the machine console, is there a kernel panic? Can you post the screenshot? You also have not said what is your build.

Help

1GB of ram per 1TB of space. And in this case, x64 arch.

I'm looking freenas servers and one with capacity of 48GB of ram used 220tb, 1/4, ie to 24TB would 8GB, improve dedicate a 2tb disk for write cache?. the relevant figure is a deed of 40 or more Mbps

Re: Help with error in recording files and tick no reason (resolved)

Equates to a quarter of a relationship to memory storage capacity, ie to 24TB of storage assigned 6gb of ram, a 64bit upgrade version and from that day (for 10 days ago) to run correctly. NOTE: When upgrading from 32bit to 64bit web server fails, but the correct storage works. Regards.
