Help Needed for Rsync(ing) Data from Freenas to A Windows 7 PC in LAN

Hi Guys!

I am using FreeNAS 8.2.0 p1.
I was wondering if it is possible using GUI, to Rsync Data from FreeNAS Box to a Windows 7 PC in LAN. Just to clarify, I want to back up (Rsync) all Data from FreeNAS Box to a Windows 7 PC in LAN. I have been trying to do that yesterday, but no success.

Is it really possible to do what I am trying to.
Do I need any specific install on my Windows PC to Rsync

I am totally lost.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

To do that you have to install an rsync daemon on Windows. There are several ways to do that, you can find them if you Google "Windows rsync daemon"

But, I think, the best way to do it is use robocopy on Windows 7 to copy from FreeNAS. You have to share the Data on FreeNAS. I presume you've already do that.
