Howdy.

I just started using FreeNAS last week, after my five year old OpenSolaris file server started getting wonky. I'm somewhat familiar working with zfs filesystems, since that's why I decided to use OpenSolaris. I've also used FreeBSD for over 15 years at home and at work.

In real life I'm a zOS Systems Programmer with 35 years of mainframe experience.

Welcome! Keep in mind you may be a pro with ZFS and be able to do all sorts of wicked stuff from the CLI but FreeNAS works best when you use the WebGUI. Nothing can ruin your day quicker than doing stuff from the CLI since it basically circumvents the configuration file that FreeNAS uses on reboots.
