I currently have two PC's I want to consolidate into one, I have a Windows Home Server 2011 PC and a and FreeNAS PC that I want to consolidate into 1 PC that has WHS 2011 as the OS with VirtualBox installed and FreeNAS virtualized. My question is whether I will still get the benefits of FreeNAS because as I see it, Each of my HDD's will be formatted in NTFS that have a VHD that will be formatted in ZFS so that I can combine them into a Raid-Z2 pool. My other option was to run Hyper-V and virtualize all OS's.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

Of the 2 options I like Hyper-V better. That way you can have your Windows Server install to the ZFS volume.
