I tried to install the plex server on freenas 11.3 but had problems with the certificate so decided to see if I can upgrade and it turns out the hardware requirement for the latest now truenas are massive compared to my current install.
I have found a system that will meet the specs but I dont want to ruin the pools and I want to keep all my settings.
Now I understand I can backup all my settings and restore them if need be.
When I change to the new system am I able to just plug in the usb with freenas 11 on it in the new system and transfer the drives and everything be ok and then update to truenas from there or is the move going to be more of a headache.
