To get rid of a annoying message which filled up the log i started the update on my 2nd server.

To my surprise after the update my FreeNAS did not came online, after i checked it with IPMI i got this message:
Code:
[*]error: no such device: (can't recall the id)
[*]Entering rescue mode...
[*]grub rescue>

I tried a solution given by another forum member but sadly this did not help, i could not import the volume.
I tried both USB sticks separate from each other instead of the mirror (2x scandisk cruzer 16GB in mirror), it did not work either.
I decided to do a fresh install from the FreeNAS installation i still had on a USB Stick (9.10 stable)
After this i ran the updater again tot update my FreeNAS, again the Grub problem.

What is going wrong?
I did not changed hardware nor any settings i only ran the update from version:
FreeNAS-9.10-STABLE-201606270534 (dd17351)

After the new installation from the USB stick i had lying around i updated from version:
FreeNAS-9.10-STABLE-201606072003 (696eba7)

Installing FreeNAS for the second time now.

Edit:
My bad after posting this i found this link
So this post can be deleted/closed.

Try re-running the installation from the ISO image and select upgrade. That might get you back on track.
