Hi everyone!

My system:

  • Motherboard make and model: SUPERMICRO X10SRL-F
  • CPU make and model Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2695 v3 @ 2.30GHz
  • RAM quantity 64 GB
  • Hard drives, quantity, model numbers, and RAID configuration, including boot drives : 37 drives (1 SSD + 36 HDD 3,5)
  • OS Version:TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.0
  • GPU: NVDIA TESLA K20

Code:
nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

Code:
lspci -v |grep NVIDIA
03:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Tesla K20m] (rev a1)
Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation GK110GL [Tesla K20m]

Someone knows how fix it?

I updated from TrueNAS CORE. Before I used a Plex jail, but I will want to use a GPU Nvidia and so I updated... but doesn't works.

Nobody?

I have read a lot of post but I don't understand why the GPU is detected but the drivers is not loaded and then I can't use it.

Also, I trying this in my motherboard, but nothing changes.

  • Disable CSM (Compatibility Support Module)
  • Enable Above 4G decoding
  • Enable Re-Size BAR Support

if you have not fix it this is because of a kernel version to driver issue your card is making call to the kernel it does not understand best solution is to run a vm with your selected OS and app. other wise upgrade your gpu. when they moved the kernel and driver to a newer version old legacy deivces are not understood between driver and kernel any more.

Hi! Thanks to both. In these weeks I did learn lot of truenas and yes, these GPU are not supported any more. For luck for me, in plex I don't need it and VM are detected it and I can use it.
