ftp directory not showing files/folders

Hi all,

I am attempting to setup ftp access on my freenas box. I can login and connect to the ftp server, however none of the files or folders are visible. I can see these files connected via ssh or smb.

Is there a permission setting I need to change for ftp to show these folders? Any other suggestion?

Have you checked the permissions of the missing files? ls -lah

Agree with @kdragon75 , 100% chance this is a UNIX permissions for the files/directories issue.

so which user needs permission for ftp to show these directories? The user I am logging in with on ftp has permissions for these files, and is able to see the files via ssh or smb.

Still, can you provide the output? Feel Free to censor file names. Also can you provide the FTP server settings?

If your user is not nobody or in the no group group, you will not have any access to the files. Consider changing the owner of the field to your ruser for testing or perhaps setup a group, chown the files to nobody:testgroup and add your user to testgroup.

I see a + on the .. perhaps you have an ACL causing issues.
