I won't change the cpu but I'll buy a couple of nas HD if I can make my setup work quite fine.

The problem with the i7 is that it doesn't support ECC memory.

The problem with the ST3000DM001 is that it's a model known for early, catastrophic failure.

Perhaps you're happy with your system. If you're having second thoughts, take a look at the hardware recommendations:

For instance that system should be nice. I'll keep the hardware recommendations in mind if I figure out how to ping from it.
