I have Freenas set to use Active Directory for my directory service. My "Active Directory" is a Samba4 (Zentyal) server. It works fine for weeks/months and then all of a sudden all SMB shares stop working because the permissions on the datasets revert to root/wheel. This happens because freenas loses the information from AD, or at least that is what seems to be happening because if you attempt to set permission on the dataset you only get local freenas accounts.

I can fix the issue by going into the AD section in freenas, I type the domain account password again, toggle the enable checkbox off and then on again, and finally click save. Everything starts working again.

Currently running:
FreeNAS-9.10.1 (d989edd)
Zentyal is running an old build (4.0.11) and they mark there samba version themselves (samba -V 4.1.13-Zentyal)
