Hi everyone,
I have a tricky error that I just can't seem to fix. Sometimes when I want to shutdown the system it doesn't poweroff but instead restarts. The reason for this is some type of error. It says:
There is another variant of an error in that situation that I have only seen once though. It says:
Anyone have an idea what this could be? My system is a Asrock C3558D4I-4L with 2x8GB Samsung RAM. My guess is that it has something to do with the bios as I recently updated both the Bios and the BMC to 1.60 and then first noticed the error. I checked the RAM already using Memtest for over a week and got no errors, so its probably not the memory. Also, I only get the error when shutting down. Otherwise I never have problems with the machine. I saw that someone else on the forum had a similar error which was also BIOS related: https://www.ixsystems.com/community/threads/problems-with-32gb-memory.81149/
Is it maybe because I have my bios in UEFI only mode and turned off CSM? But on the other hand sometimes the poweroff works fine..
Update: It is not the CSM. I turned it off and even reinstalled FreeNAS in Bios mode -> the problem persists.
Thanks for any hints!
Edit: If needed I can also upload my Bios config.
