Hi,

I have FreeNAS Corral running under on a FreeNAS Mini, also pool were upgraded after upgrading from FreeNAS 9.10.1-U2.

What would be recommended, downgrade (boot ?) FreeNAS 9.10.1-U2 or upgrade to FreeNAS 11.0-RC ?

Thanks.

Fresh install of 11 (needed to support the upgraded pool).

When upgrading to Corral from 9.10.1* your zpool(s) get upgraded to the ZFS feature set of FreeBSD 11 and therefore you cannot go back to your previous 9.10.1*. Personally, I am waiting on FreeNAS 11 RELEASE or 11.1 before moving away from Corral.

But it isn't needed. I'll venture the statement that the vast majority of people who need to ask about pool compatibility is not going to have switched their checksums to sha512 or skein.

Pools aren't automatically upgraded. Even if they were, they're still mostly compatible, in this particular case.

So FreeNAS 9.10 it's more stable than the actual RC 11 ?
Upgrade from FreeNAS 9.10 to FreeNAS 11 it's going to be possible, right ?
