Freenas 9.2 login on local not working

Hi

FreeNas works on the IP with just the password but for some reason if i type in freeness.local it asks me for a username and password. Ive tried my old login from 9.1.1 and it doesn't work. Why do we have two different login pages to manage the box?

Is this an oversight?

What do you mean 'on ip' ? Are you using root as the username when you get the login pop-up? The username in 9.2 is root instead of admin.
