Hello.
I have tried a few different methods to install FreeNAS 8,9 on a Compact Flash drive in my IGEL 5/4 terminal.

My hardware: IGEL 4210LX Winestra with Via C7 CPU + 1GBRAM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_C7 - CPU7
http://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/Igel/4210/index.shtml

I installed Freenas 7 i386 embedded ver but i need to use www , php on my server and i believe that Freenas 8,9 can offer me that function.(plugins , jail etc.)

I tried many ways to create bootable usb flash drive (installation drive) but always installation ends BOOT ERROR PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK.
I have raid controler and connected to it DVD drive so i use it too... results are different ...
cd starts ... few seconds and after booting cd (USB DRIVE DID NOT BOOT) i had line:
error sata 3.... another few seconds later WAITING FOR ISO JULIET 9660
(and dvd drive hangs up)

I always used WINDOWS 7 X64 to create USB and CD...with methods :
disk part or rufus or killdisk (to clean drive) + diskpart or windows 7 disk management (to create partition not always few times i didn't create) + Win32diskimager or physdiskwrite (to install freenas on my usb flash drive, or compact flash)
i tried with image to cd and USB , compressed to 140mb and uncompressed to 2Gb (my compact flash card have 8GB)

To create CD i used ISO downloaded from freenas site and ashampoo burning 8.

My question is ... how can i create bootable installation flash drive with freenas 8 or 9 under windows 7?
and what FreeNas verion is max to my hardware and why ...

I installed and worked fine freenas 7.2 embedded ... but like i said i need php and www ...
Please help...

Greetings Bahus...

Sorry bout my terrible english ...

Have you examined the system requirements of FreeNAS? Notably, they 8GB of RAM minimum. Your hardware isn't powerful enough for FreeNAS.

Ok i found this : https://sites.google.com/site/aganimkarmiel/home/free-time/freenas-extensions
and again have peoblem :

1) i used 8GB Compact Flash card to freenas system and i know that freenas takes all ...
2)i have 2 mount points SEAGATE (HDD internal drive) and Verbatim (External drive)

after logging in by putty , i acted in accordance with the instructions..
# mkdir -p /mnt/SEAGATE/db/mysql (because on my compact flash is full ... and i dont know how change this line to install on hdd not to CF)
# chmod 777 /mnt/SEAGATE/db
# ln -s /mnt/SEAGATE/db/mysql /var/db/mysql
# setenv PACKAGESITE ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9-current/Latest/ (because old php version doesn't exists)

# pkg_add -r mysql55-server

after this last instruction always i get

/: write failed, filesystem is full

i think that i try to install this to my compact flash card that's why i can't install php...
How change entry to be able install php on my SEAGATE drive ?

Please help me... i'm not advanced in linux etc... but i try ...

The guide you referenced is for FreeNAS 7 which is now NAS4Free. You need to look to the NAS4Free site which was referenced above for help.
