Folder with / are empty through Samba - shall I rename them all?

Hi,

We had lots of folders on our TrueNAS server (12.0 U2) with a "/" in the name.
Since the upgrade to TrueNAS, these folders appear empty but content is there.

I have to rename them through a shell on the server and the content shows up again.
Is there a way to keep those (I know these are not recommended characters in general) or will I have to do a find/replace?
