folder permissions and shares

Hi hope someone can put me in the right direction.

I am trying to set up a freenas system to enable windows xp / 7 users to share a public folder and to give individual users there own private folders that only they can use. is this possible or am i asking too much from this?? i have tried and failed.... please help many thanks

Many thanks worked though this but seem to have a problem when i get to step 5. Under sharing CIFS sharing does not appear i have looked under windows sharing but i cant see the path as there is no browse button. have i missed something?? thanks again am alot further now i can see the light!!!

I am having the same problem - no browse button appears. and i cannot enter the path, i only have a drop down box.

I'm guessing you're both using version 8.0? Can you verify? I think the browse button was missing before beta 4.

Yes 8.0. Will try installing latest release tonight.
