Hey guys, I have decided to build myself a Freenas box and sell my current Qnap set up. I will be using the current Toshiba 5tb HDDs that Im running now in the new build, so thats why they will not be listed in the build. Currently this is what I have:

Mobo: SUPERMICRO MBD-X11SSH-LN4F-O Micro ATX
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5
PSU: SeaSonic Platinum Series SS-400FL2
Case: Fractal Design Node 804
RAM: Samsung M391A2K43BB1-CPB 16GB DDR4-2133 ECC Un-Buffer
Case Fans: Noctua NF-S12A PWMs NF-A14 PWM
USB: Sandisk Cruzer Fit 16GB USB Flash Drive

Main use for this server will be streaming media through out my house to different TVs, and obviously mass storage of any files I may have. Any feedback on this build is greatly appreciated!

In terms of resources and brands it all looks good. I haven't checked specific component compatibility.

That all seems good. Recommend you install to a ***PAIR*** of USB flash drives, and take advantage of the boot pool mirroring at install time.

How is the build working so far ? the board has a dedicated IPMI port ? it is confused the way the information appears on the supermicro website.

I'm getting ready to build my first ever server and was looking at the X11SSH-LN4F as in your original post. I am interested to know why you switched to the X10SSM-LN4F?
