Expose a LUN starting from a smb share

Good morning everyone,

I'm building up a Homelab with 3 NUCs and I have a WD my passport raid1 NAS that is only providing basic smb/ftp share.

I was wondering if installing Freenas on a VM and mounting this NAS as a smb share on the Freenas should then consent me to expose some LUNs as iSCSI targets for my test applications/VMs and if yes how.

No. Plus if it were to work, performance would be terrible.
