Exporting ZFS Volume using AoE

Hi everybody,

Has anyone tried to export a ZFS volume using the AoE protocol? If you got it to work, would you care to share how you did it? Big thanks.

I'm looking to use AoE to export FreeNAS volumes to networked servers since it gives better performance than iSCSI so if anyone know if this can be done with FreeNAS

but I can't see if AOE actually got included in FreeNAS, or not. This is the only reference I found to it, but there's no documentation on how do use it from FreeNAS

Doesn't look like it's a priority to add to the FreeBSD base system due to low adoption rate: http://support.coraid.com/support/freebsd/index.html

If you're interested in support, it's worth adding a ticket at support.freenas.org. The only related ticket at the moment (http://support.freenas.org/changeset/3162/freenas) is three years old and is for FreeNAS legacy.
