Edit Filesystem ACL - two different ACL menus?

First time setting up Truenas.

Why does one of my shares have a different ACL menu than another one?

Using TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.0.1

The one on the right is actually the NFSv4 ACL editor.

There are two different ACL choices on SCALE. The error you posted looks like you tried to create a POSIX1E ACL without a mask entry.

That doesn't explain why "Edit Filesystem ACL" on one share opens one menu and on a different share opens a different menu.

acltype is a ZFS dataset (filesystem) property. The underlying paths have different ACL types, ergo different editors.

Ah, found out why. For some reason one of my shares had ALC Type POSIX and another one NFSv4

Right, there are various different reasons why you may want (or need) to use one vs the other. It has a lot to do with features required for a deployment and compatibility with different clients.
