Does FreeNAS can be install on Intel NUC

Dear All

I would like to know if FreeNAS can be install on Intel NUC. I would like to use this as Plex media server and want to use freenas only not windows. please advise.

Also all hardware is supported in NUC e.g NIC card?

Intel NUC BOXD54250WYKH1 Intel 4th Gen Intel Core i5-4250U with Intel HD Graphics 5000

Why don't you look up the specs for that device and check for yourself?

But I'll tell you right now that regardless of if it can be installed, it's a terrible idea because it doesn't support ECC RAM. I know this because no i5s support ECC RAM.

It's a small device, but it can handle 3 drives. 2x mSATA and 1x 2.5" SATA.

Technically only one of the mPCIe ports is mSATA enabled. The other is only half-height and does not have the mSATA functionality IIRC. You could do an SSD mirror.

But I concur with the others. You could, but it's a bad idea and not an efficient use of money.
