Does a stripe volume mean RAID 0?

I'm creating a volume made up of 3 drives, but none are the same size, so I can't do any other kind. I'm wondering if this is in essence making them like a RAID 0 setup where data is striped across all drives and if one is lost, they all are. Can anyone clarify?

It's similar and yes, should any one of the 3 drives fail, you would lose the volume. You could minimize the risk by creating 3 separate one disk volumes. Failure of a single disk wouldn't affect the others.

Sure you can use other RAID types. You'll just need to use the Manual Setup button in the Volume Manager.
