Hardware: HP Microserver Gen7 N54L, 8GB RAM, Highpoint RocketRaid 2720SGL with 4x1TB drives in JBOD mode. Boot disk is a 64GB thumb drive off the internal USB port.
Newish install of Freenas-- it's been running for a couple weeks, and after running some read-intensive operations it became obvious I had a bad drive-- confirmed serial numbers, powered down the box confirm serial numbers, swapped in the new drive, initialized it with the RAID card and presented it as a JBOD, hit the replace button and selected the new drive-- matched serial number, slot number, etc. Eventually, nothing happened. zpool status doesn't show the rebuild in progress, the drive doesn't show up anywhere unless I rescan the bus directly, and doing anything drive related causes it to disappear again immediately until another rescan happens, see below:
