Hi guys,I'm thinking of making a NAS with cubieboard (http://cubieboard.org/). But I'm not sure whether FreeNAS is compatible with it.
What do you think? Is it possible?

I don't think freenas can be compiled for arm, so that board is a no go. And even if it could, you'd have what 1 sata port and 512MB of ram?

why not? cause freenas is not compiled for arm you'd need heavily modify the freenas source code to get it to run on an arm cpu.

Ahh, you'd have no redundancy which would be fine for files you don't care about or have backed up somewhere else. Also the more ram the better with zfs, but you could always go ufs instead.
