Copy data to external USB drive that would be readable by a Mac

I have some data that I would like to copy to an external USB drive so that it can taken off-site and read/written when attached to a Mac.

Anyone know how I should go about this?

Mac's can work with both FAT32 and exFAT for reading/writing.

As of Mac OS X Lion, UFS support was completely dropped.

Hmm, pity that UFS support was dropped from Lion. Anyway, it's a very short term requirement so the read-only support for FAT32 will suffice. Thanks for taking the time to help.
