Cluster a fes Freenas Devices together

HI all,

Just heard about freenas in my vmtraining class, so my question maybe this is easy, but for now (limited sit in hotel room), i can see anything on this....

Can i load a few of my older servers with freenas8, cluster them togehter to get a larger singel storage area, and then with this use is as storgae for vm, or maybe if not making it one sotage, utilize it to use other server as raid for the storage?... a freenas raid if you will between diffrent servers?..
